Connect Zellor to Gorgias

When Zellor is connected to Gorgias, the assistant creates and updates the right Gorgias ticket, passes shopper replies through to that ticket, and shows your agents' replies back inside the shopper conversation. Your team keeps working in Gorgias, and shoppers never have to leave the chat.

Setup takes about two minutes. You connect with a single click using Gorgias OAuth, so there are no API keys to copy or paste.

Before you start

  • A Zellor account with the AI assistant and support handoff enabled.

  • A Gorgias account, for example your-store.gorgias.com.

  • Permission to approve app connections in that Gorgias account.

Connect in four steps


  1. Open the Connect Gorgias panel

In Zellor, open the Assistant page and find the Connect Gorgias card. Before you connect, the status reads Not connected.

  1. Start the connection

Select Connect with Gorgias. Enter your Gorgias URL, which is the subdomain you log in with (for example, your-store), then select Connect.


  1. Authorize Zellor in Gorgias

You are taken to Gorgias to approve the connection. Sign in if you are prompted, then select Authorize to grant Zellor access. Gorgias returns you to Zellor automatically.

  1. Confirm you are connected

Back on the Assistant page, the Connect Gorgias card now shows Connected. That is it, the handoff is live.

Set your handoff hours

While you are on the panel, tell the assistant when your team is available to take handoffs. Set your business-hours timezone and either mark yourself Always open (24/7) or add a weekly schedule. Out-of-hours handoffs fall back to a queued response instead of a live ticket.

You can also set a Connect timeout: how long the widget waits for a live agent before it offers the shopper a "leave a message" form. Leave it blank for the default of five minutes.

How shoppers reach a human

You do not need to configure a trigger. When a shopper asks to speak to a person, or the assistant decides a conversation needs a human, the assistant runs a short intake, then creates or updates a ticket in Gorgias. Your agent replies to that ticket as normal and the reply appears back in the shopper's chat. Anything the shopper sends next lands on the same ticket, so the whole exchange stays in one place.


Good to know

When an agent replies on the email channel, Gorgias controls that outbound email as it normally would. Zellor does not change how Gorgias sends email.

Troubleshooting


The card still shows "Not connected"

Run the connection again from Connect with Gorgias, and make sure you complete the approval step in Gorgias.


Gorgias returned an error

Check that you entered a valid your-store.gorgias.com subdomain, and that your Gorgias user has permission to approve apps.


The card shows "Not ready"

The connection saved, but the assistant or handoff setup is still incomplete. Finish the remaining setup items on the Assistant page.


Tickets are not appearing in Gorgias

Confirm the approval completed for the intended Gorgias account, then test again from the storefront assistant.

Does Zellor replace the Gorgias inbox?

No. Gorgias stays your support inbox. Zellor routes eligible conversations into Gorgias and relays replies both ways.



Do I need an API key?

No. The OAuth connection handles everything with one approval, so there are no keys to manage.
